Xbox One S to Become Available August 2

Microsoft revealed the Xbox One S, the latest member of the Xbox One family last month, and according to the company, gamers can expect it to hit the shelves as early as August 2. The 2TB game console will not be available globally at the beginning of next month, however, those who preordered the gadget will be able to receive it starting August 2. The 2TB Xbox One S launch edition can still be preordered on Microsoft’s website and from select retailers according to the tech giant.

The latest addition to the Xbox one family is the most compact game console ever delivered by the company. It is 40 percent smaller than the original version of the game console, and it also has a built-in  power supply. The Xbox One S isn’t only smaller than the original version of the gadget, it also suffered some design changes, such as the repositioning of one of the three USB ports of the device and of the pairing button. these can now be found on the front of the device, besides the newly added IR blaster. This addition is supposed to increase the accessibility of the gadget.

The Xbox One S will allow users to watch Blu-ray movies and even to stream videos in 4K Ultra HD with HDR . This means that videos and games will look clearer than ever, ensuring a truly terrific video experience, according to Microsoft. The controller of the game console also got an upgrade. the One S comes with the latest Xbox Wireless Controller that is supposed to feature a better Xbox Wireless signal and Bluetooth support, alongside an improved, textured grip. This controller will also be available as a standalone product, so users will be able to purchase it without buying a new game console.

The latest Xbox One will be available for $399 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK, and, of course, in the US. The gadget will be available in other parts of the world sometime this year, most likely before the holiday season. The device will also be available with 1TB and 500GB hard drives also. These will cost $349 and $299.
