Sony Electronics’ First 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player Now Available for Pre-Order

Sony Electronics just announced the pricing and availability for its UBP-X800 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player. The device is available for pre-sale from Amazon, Best Buy and other select dealers in the US. Its price is $299.99. Customers will find the player in stores starting March 2017. Those who can’t wait until then can place their pre-orders at the selected online stores. Unfortunately, the date of shipping is uncertain. What seems to be sure, however, is that those who will pre-order the player will get it sooner than those who wait until its global release.

The UBP-X800 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player is compatible with Ultra HD Blu-ray. Besides this, it also allows users to stream videos in 4K resolution and High Dynamic Range (HDR). This way, images will be clearer, with greater detail, brightness, and contrast. Sony Electronics’ first 4K  Ultra HD Blu-ray Player offers twice the color range of existing conventional Blu-ray players and HDR. It also ensures up to 100 times dynamic range. Thanks to this feature, the picture quality it provides is more realistic than ever before. The device can be paired with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio compatible receivers in order to create the most immersive home theater experience possible.

The Blu-ray player delivered by Sony Electronics has a nice, simple design. It even features offset insulator feet that reduce the effects of airborne and mechanical vibration. The device also features UBP-X800 integrated Bluetooth. This allows users to listen to wireless headphones, while the sound can continue to play from other devices, such as a TV or a soundbar. This way, some users can listen to the sound through the earphones, and others can still hear the sounds from a movie or a TV show through other devices. Those who purchase the player can even benefit from the company’s exclusive offer. This means that they can receive two 4K Ultra HD discs from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment up to a $50 value. Those who are interested in this offer can get further details on the matter at www.sony.com/4kdiscbundle.
