A July You Won’t Forget: LG Giving Away An Additional G4 Battery And Leather Back Cover For Free

Flashback to June where LG was holding a promotional sale for it’s G4 smartphone. For those who were willing to pick up a G4, the company was offering an extra battery, a battery charging cradle, and a 32 gigabyte microSD card. Now that we’re in July, LG has a new offer. For those who pick up the G4, expect to receive another battery, the cradle, and a new leather back cover.

Let’s review the specs of the G4. At 5.5 inches, the phone has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 and the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with it’s CPU operating on a Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 and a dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57. With a 16 megapixel camera, the phone can have 32 and 63 gigabytes of internal storage. Along with a microSD slot, expect it to go up to 128 gigabytes.

The phone has been received favorably. Although there’s a bit of lag when it comes to opening apps, the replaceable battery is certainly one of it’s big features.

The LG Website advertises that this deal gives “More power and style for you.” After all, the customization gives each user a chance to show off a little of their flair and the extra battery comes in handy for those who travel (or tend to use their phone for other activities). It’s also important to note that this deal ends on July 31.

According Tech Times, there are some specifics that customers shouldn’t overlook. They reported that the offer is available from qualifying carriers/US retailers such as, “Amazon, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club, Sprint, T-Mobile, Target, US Cellular, AT&T and Verizon Wireless.”

The offer is tempting for those looking to upgrade (or just need a new phone in general). What are your thoughts on this? Is this enough for you to run out and grab a G4?
