Zopo Speed 7 and Speed 7 Plus launched, exclusive discount available

Until now, the Zopo brand was known primarily for their Color line-up of devices, which are mid-range and entry level smartphones made for first time smartphone users or light smartphone users. But Zopo has been working hard to bring new phones to the flagship segment of the smartphone market, and the day has finally come to launch the new line-up. The Zopo Speed 7 and Speed 7 Plus are the two fresh launches from this Chinese company and they aim to take on all the major smartphone manufacturers such as Apple, Samsung and even Google.

With affordable prices, the Zopo Speed 7 and Zopo Speed 7 Plus come with excellent bang for buck, and since it’s their birthday/ launch day, you can benefit from a couple of discounts, too. If you to Everbuying and place your order for the Zopo Speed 7 or Speed 7 Plus, we’ve got a pair of coupons that you can use to be able to buy the already cheap phones even cheaper. If you want the Zopo Speed 7, whose original price is $200, you can use the coupon code ZOPO22 on your purchase and thus get $40 off your tab. If you want the Zopo Speed 7 Plus, which costs $230, you can use the coupon code ZOPO11 and get the same $40 off discount. Please note that these coupons are valid starting August 3, so you do have to wait a couple more days to benefit from these discounts.

Since we’ve got that out of the way, let’s see why the Zopo Speed 7 and Speed 7 Plus are causing so much hype in the smartphone community. Many people have already noticed the two new launches, and while the design of the phones is not that exemplary, their bang for buck is pretty amazing. Seeing as both are sub-$250 priced smartphones, one would think they are mid-rangers. But one would be mistaken in thinking that, as Zopo intends the Speed 7 line-up to be its flagship line-up and has outfitted the devices accordingly with features and benefits. With that in mind, the Zopo Speed 7 and Speed 7 Plus are directly competing against current flagships like the OnePlus 2, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and many more.

The Zopo Speed 7 is the smaller of the two new phones, and it comes with a 5-inch 1920*1080 resolution IPS display, which is sharp, bright and with good viewing angles, surrounded by a metal frame and plastic chassis. Under the hood, the device comes with a 64 bit MediaTek MTK6753 CPU, 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, with a microSD card slot for storage convenience. There’s a 2500 mAh battery powering the device, which should be enough for an average battery life of two days. Since the screen is high-res, those pixels will use up a bit of power, but that shouldn’t affect battery life too much. Expect a few hits and misses on the first few days, but after that, battery life should stabilize and customers should be happy with the end result.

The Zopo Speed 7 comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-loaded, with Zopo’s own skin on top. That skin, while not stock Android, does come with its own benefits. Users of the Zopo Speed 7 will be happy to find that gestures work really well and the phone supports double tap to wake as well. That features was popularized by LG through their Knock On technology, and people seem to really enjoy replacing swipes with taps. The Zopo Speed 7 also features 4G LTE, so connectivity is top-notch on this one. There are two SIM card slots available, too, which is convenient for those who share their phones or use the same phone for both work and personal calls.

Zopo slapped a 13.2 MP camera with LED flash and auto-focus on the rear of the Zopo Speed 7 and a 5 MP wide-angle selfie camera up front. Speakers are on the rear, and the phone is outfitted with an audio jack and microUSB slot, too. The usual Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and sensors are also present, but the fingerprint sensor is amiss on this one.

The Zopo Speed 7 Plus isn’t that different from the Zopo Speed 7, but it does come with alarger display. The camera, specs and hardware are the same, but the display is a 5.5 inch panel with a 1920*1080 resolution. The battery is also larger at 3000 mAh to power all those pixels, which is a nice upgrade compared to the base model. Zopo wanted to provide good smartphones for any type of smartphone user, and the Zopo Speed 7 and Zopo Speed 7 Plus do exactly that.

Whether you like 5-inch displays or are a phablet type of person, the Zopo Speed 7 line-up has something for you. Although biometric security has not been included in the feature list, these two smartphones are as future-proof as they get. The battery lives should be exemplary and the software experience should be buttery smooth. That brings us to the conclusion that the Zopo Speed 7 is an absolute winner when it comes to bang for buck. Any takers?
