Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition comes with 128GB internal storage

Samsung announced they are finally offering the Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition, which has 128GB internal storage instead of the 6GB which was the largest version available up to this moment. For now, the 128GB version will only be available in South Korea, so if you want to have this version of the Galaxy note 5 you will have to order it from Samsung’s home country. The device will be available in the Note5’s two most popular color variants, the Gold Platinum, and Silver Titanium, so these are the only two colors customers can choose between. The 128GB Note 5’s price was set to 999,900 KRW, which is the equivalent of $846.

The Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition is quite similar to the previously launched Note 5 versions, the main difference consisting in the larger internal storage. On the outside, the only difference that can be noticed between the regular Note 5 and the Winter Edition is that on the latter, the Samsung logo was repositioned on the back of the device. The difference is minor, so there is a chance that the majority of customers won’t even notice it. The fact that there weren’t any other changes made in the Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition is not a bad thing since the Galaxy note 5 was already a great device.

Those who opt for the Winter Edition will get a 5.7-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, 518ppi pixel density for their money, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is powered by the powerful Exynos 7420 chipset, with an octa-core processor, four cores being clocked at 1.5GHz and the other four clocked at 2.1GHz. The GPU of the Winter Edition is the same Mali-T760MP8 featured by the Note 5 that was originally released. The 128GB internal storage and the 4GB of RAM turn the Winter Edition into a great phablet.

The Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition is equipped with a 16MP back camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. Other features of the cameras include geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR and more. The back camera is able to record 2160p@30fps and 1080p@60fps video and offers optical stabilization and dual-recording. The secondary camera records 1440p@30fps video and features dual video call and auto HDR. Other features of the Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition include a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, compass, barometer, heart rate, SpO2, and a 3000mAh battery.

As we already stated, the Winter Edition will only be available in South Korea at first, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to hear that Samsung plans on launching the device elsewhere also in the near future. In case you don’t want to wait to see when this will happen you can order the device from South Korea. If you are not in a hurry to do this, you can wait for another few weeks or months until it will reach your country.
