Tesla’s long-awaited Model 3 refresh’s front half leaked?
Some Redditors think a photo of the automaker’s sedan may show an update with a Roadster-like face. The viral photo:
Since 2017, Tesla has delivered Model 3s with only minor updates to the console, wheels, and range in 2021. According to a 2022 Reuters story, Tesla’s next major Model 3 update, codenamed Project Highland, will cut costs with “fewer interior components and a slightly redesigned exterior.” Stay skeptical, folks. Tesla has not confirmed these details.
Here’s an intriguing image. Thankfully, the front bumper lacks the Model 3’s fat lip. The photo shows a sleek, redesigned headlight assembly without fog lights. The dashboard is covered or curved in front of the driver, and the wheels are two-tone. It looks sportier than the Model 3.
The Model 3’s aging appearance isn’t unique. Tesla’s vehicles haven’t been redesigned since launch. In April 2016, Tesla released a new Model S sedan with a body-color bumper instead of the faux radiator grill, the most significant update of the lineup. The rest—the Model X, Model 3, and Model Y—have only had minor sheet metal changes.
This vehicle may be the next Model 3 or a design prototype. However, this vehicle has mileage. See the bugs.
