Niantic announced a new game to diversify its portfolio while Pokémon GO remains its most popular. Today, Niantic and Capcom unveiled a Monster Hunter mobile game for later this year.
The business claimed Monster Hunter Now will launch for iOS and Android in September. Players must “hunt monsters in the real world,” according to the official website.

Follow the game’s Twitter and sign up for the closed beta on the website. On April 25, the creators will invite 10,000 people, according to the website.
Since it’s a Niantic game, you’ll have to travel to numerous locations to combat monsters, earn materials, make weapons, and progress in the game.
“Taking the role of a hunter, players will venture forth and team up with fellow players to take down the fiercest monsters in the world, adding a social element to the thrilling experience,” Niantic stated in a press release.
Monster bouts will last 75 seconds in landscape or portrait orientation.
Niantic previously developed NBA All World, Pikmin Bloom, and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. That game closed in 2021. The corporation axed four projects and 8% of its personnel last year, including a Transformers game.
Niantic released a test of Peridot in April, letting players stroll virtual pets. The game will launch on May 9.
