Microsoft Office now runs on Android phones

It has taken a long time, but Microsoft Office is finally available on Android phones. The Office apps have been available for Windows and IOS devices for sometime now, but this is the first time they have been available for Android phones.

Office apps have been available on Android tablets since early 2015, but this release has been optimized for use on phones. I found the apps to be fairly well designed and simple to use with most of the important features easily reached by your thumbs. Overall, I found it to be a solid implementation of office despite the inherent limitations of using such software on a phone.

One nice feature is that the apps come with support for cloud services such as Drop Box and Google Drive as well as Microsoft’s OneDrive so storage space shouldn’t be a problem for most users.

Check out the official Google Play Store page for more information or to download any of the Microsoft office apps for free.
