Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro – CES Innovation Awards Honoree

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is one of the honorees for the CES Innovation Awards and there is a good reason for it to be in the competition because it is a great tablet. The Yoga Tab 3 Pro is one of the best devices of its kind to ensure perfect entertainment for you. It was actually called a non-compromise all-in-one entertainment centre by Trusted Reviews, and they might be right in this case. This is truly a nice tablet, even if it isn’t flawless. But then again, nothing is flawless on the electronics market, is it?

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro looks a lot like previous Yoga tablet models, with a cylindrical base on the longer edge of the device, which houses the metal stand, the speakers and the projector of the tablet. Thanks to the aforementioned stand, the tablet can be set in a variety of angles, and it can even be hanged if you have something to mount it on. This way, users will be able to enjoy their favorite videos without having to hold the device until their arms go numb. Although it is comfortable to use, the tablet is not that comfortable to carry around because of its 247 x 179 x 4.68mm measurements and 665g weight.

The Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a tad smaller than the Tab 2 Pro was, being equipped with a 10.1-inch display instead of the previous version’s 13.3-inch screen. The 2560 x 1600 QHD resolution of the display is quite impressive and it is able to deliver some great images, making it perfect for watching videos, reading e-books or just surfing the internet. The new version of the Lenovo Tab Pro features Lenovo AnyPen technology, which means that owners will be able to use almost anything as a stylus, and the screen will detect it and react to it. The displayed colors are pretty accurate, although sometimes users might get the impression they are a little oversaturated, and the brightness is also all right. The display of the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is not as impressive as the one of Samsung Galaxy Tab’s or the one of the iPad Air 2, but it is still a great display on a great device.

The Tab 3 Pro is powered by an  Intel X5 Atom processor which is paired with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, which is not that impressive if we compare it to other tablets from the same price range. The tablet includes 16GB of internal storage, which can be extended by up to 128GB thanks to the microSD card slot of the device. The Yoga Tab 3 Pro has a 13MP back camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Both of the cameras will capture good quality pictures and video, which is quite impressive for tablet cameras. The tablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, so users will get the Android experience they wish for.

This entertainment center has four integrated front-facing speakers which ensure a great audio quality. The 50lumen projector of the tablet can beam images up to 70 inches (178cm) across on any wall or ceiling. The projector can be used to watch videos, but it can also become a very useful tool at work when you need to project a presentation, slideshow or anything else that should be seen by a number of people at the same time. The projector is incredibly easy to use, so it could become one of the best features of the tablet for many of the users.

One thing that really impresses about the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is its battery. The 10200mAh giant is quite amazing compared to the ones packed in other tablets. According to the manufacturer company, the tablet’s battery is able to ensure up to 18 hours of battery life, but this might be a little exaggerated. Even if the tablet won’t last for 18 hours of video playback it is able to ensure up to three days of regular use, which is quite impressive for a tablet of this size.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro will set customers back $499, which is a little expensive, but it has a lot to offer for this price. It is a great tablet for entertainment, but for some people the weight and the size of the tablet could be a turnoff. Overall the tablet is a quite impressive one with some powerful features, like the high-resolution display, the great audio quality, the projector and the huge battery.
