The ARM version of Windows 11 on Apple Silicon can now be run on Macs using VMware Fusion 13 in a virtual machine that supports OpenGL 4.3.
VMware Fusion 13 is now on sale and works with Apple Silicon on Intel and Mac computers. Deployment is straightforward because it ships with a universal DMG.
Thanks to a new virtual TPM implementation, Windows 11 may be run on Apple Silicon. The Windows 11 ARM contains an integrated emulator for win32 and x64 programs, although it is only available in the ARM version.
DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.3 can both be run on Intel hardware, along with eGPUs. Only OpenGL 4.3 is supported on Apple Silicon models.
VMware Fusion 13 is available in two different editions: Player and Pro. The Player edition is less expensive and offers less features than the Pro version.
Virtual networks can be customized, vSphere/ESXi servers can be accessed, linked clones and full clones can be made, and remote vSphere Host Power Control can be used with VMware Fusion Pro. Despite lacking those features, VMware Fusion Player can still build new virtual machines and utilize 3D graphics.
