iOS 16.5 adds a sports tab to Apple News

The Apple News app added a sports option Thursday with iOS 16.5. The tab provides results, match schedules, and sports team articles.

The business says tapping My Sports score and schedule cards will take you to that game’s page with more information.

iOS 16.5 addresses Podcasts in CarPlay, unresponsive Spotlight, and screen time syncing, and adds a pride wallpaper.

Apple announced minor upgrades to iPadOS 16.5, macOS Ventura 16.4, and watchOS 9.5 alongside the iPhone update.

This release cycle’s largest change was Apple TV’s sports multiview. This lets Apple TV 4K customers watch four games at once. Major League Soccer, Friday Night Baseball, and several MLS and MLB live broadcasts support the multiview capability.
