Twitter now uses “X” instead of the bird logo. Musk announced the change over the weekend. Website changes are live.
Musk tweeted that x.com redirects to twitter.com. Musk called this logo “interim,” so it may change again.

The social network may replace the logo again. “Bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” Musk said.
Musk updated his Twitter profile late Sunday. The official Twitter account @Twitter now uses the new X logo.
Musk also suggested calling Tweets “x’s” in a reply.

X will be a “global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities” with features “centered in audio, video, messaging, payment/banking,” according to CEO Linda Yaccarino. That’s many things.
X is the future state of unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Powered by AI, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine.

Musk’s “X” obsession is well-known. He founded X.com, later PayPal, in 1997. His SpaceX logo is “X.” X.ai is his latest AI company. Musk’s Twitter Inc. became X Corp. in April.
The Tesla CEO repeatedly mentioned turning Twitter into “X, the everything app” after taking over.
Musk has changed the Twitter logo before. He briefly changed the social media logo to the Doge meme earlier this year. A developer who made an extension to avoid the doge logo said it works for the new “X” logo, so you can quickly restore the bird logo.
Twitter started without its bird logo. The company adopted “Larry the bird,” named after legendary Boston Celtics basketball player Larry Bird, in 2010.
Musk told a user that the company is still in “negative cash flow” due to a “~50% drop in advertising revenue plus heavy debt load” days before changing its branding.
