A while ago Samsung released the A and E series, more specifically the E5 (model number SM-E500), E7 (model number SM-E700), A3 (model number SM-A300) and A5 (model number SM-A500). These all are mid-range smartphones, that come at an affordable price but which one is the best?
Now, in terms of displays, both series come with a Super Amoled, but the Samsung A3 has a 4.5-inch with 245 pixels and the A5 has a 5-inch with 294 pixels while the Samsung E5 has a 5-inch with 294 pixels and the Samsung E7 has a 5.5-inch with 267 pixels. All of them have HD resolution, 1280×720 pixels, except the A3 which has only 960×540 pixels. All the phones are equipped with a 64-bit 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz. Also, the phones come with 16 GB of internal storage expandable by a microSD, but when it comes to RAM memory we’ll find some differences because the A3 has only 1 GB, E5 has 1.5 GB while the A5 and E7 have 2 GB.
In terms of cameras, while the A3 and E5 have a 8-megapixel sensor with a resolution of 3264×2448 pixels that is capable of 1080p video recording at 30 fps, both the A5 and E7 have a 13-megapixel sensor with a resolution of 4128×3096 pixels that is capable of 1080p video recording at 30 fps. In the front all the phones have a 5-megapixel camera with a resolution of 2560×1920 pixels that is also capable capable of 1080p video recording at 30 fps. Connectivity options on all the phones include 3G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
One of the most important difference it’s the battery where the A3 has only 1,900 mAh, the A5 has 2,300 mAh, E5 2,400 mAh and the Galaxy E7 has 2950 mAh. Another thing to be mentioned it’s that all phones come with non-removable battery. So, while the Galaxy A3 and E5 cost around $200, the A5 cost $277 and the E7 cost $230, which one would you choose?
