FENWATCH is the First Porcelain Smartwatch to Come to Kickstarter

Kickstarter projects can be rather dull, but they can also be quite impressive. The FENWATCH is definitely one project that belongs to the latter category. There are many types of smartwatches out there but how many of them are made from porcelain? That’s right, none so far. This will change shortly because the project will debut on January 10 on Kickstarter. Given its extremely feminine design, it’s safe to say that there will probably be enough ladies out there to invest in the project and turn the idea into reality quickly.

The FENWATCH first impresses with its design and the choice of materials. The front of the smartwatch is made of white and blue porcelain. Besides the unusual material, the smartwatch also offers a unique, hand- painted dial. This way, every user can have a different, personalized smartwatch. We have to admit, this is quite cool. Of course, users can personalize almost every smartwatch with different watch faces, but we haven’t heard of too many gadgets that have a unique watch face. How does a porcelain watch become a smartwatch? By combining the ceramic with Swiss precision gears and smart technology. Despite its traditional looking design, the FENWATCH has all the basic features of a regular smartwatch.

The gadget offers a sleep monitor, UV monitoring, activity management, a pedometer, and step tracking. Basically, the wearable can track all of the user’s vital health data. Naturally, users can pair the smartwatch with a smartphone running on iOS or Android. This way users can reject a call and control the smartphone’s camera. Until this point, the FENWATCH is a lot like any other smart wearable. Aside from its unique design, it has one more feature that differentiates it from other smartwatches. It has a battery that can last for up to a year. Given the fact that the majority of smartwatches barely make it through the day, this is quite impressive. The project will debut in a few hours on Kickstarter. If you would like to own such a gadget some day, feel free to back up the project.
