Apple is expected to announce their new line of iPhones in September. It has been speculated that the next iPhones will be different variants of the iPhone 6. These three variants will supposedly be the 6S, 6S Plus, and the 6C.
There was a list of 11 new features that were leaked from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. For those who don’t know, KGI Securities is a market leader in multiple branches, dealing with security, brokerage, and even proprietary trading. His list was acquired from Apple Insider where he mentions that there will be a rose-gold option for the phone, the camera being 12 megapixels, and also scratch resistant sapphire colors.
Kuo also mentioned that there will be a Force Touch. He says, “”Force Touch can enrich user experience due to more input methods and support of handwritten signatures, which is beneficial for expanding the commercial market.”
But, one of the supposed features that really has everyone intrigued is the the new the 12 megapixel camera. Apple has notoriously stuck with it’s iPhone cameras being at 8 megapixels. Tech Times believes people shouldn’t fall for the hype. They said, “it’s unlikely that Apple will increase the iPhone 6s’ camera’s pixel number” based on Apple’s many years of refusing to upgrade the pixels.
However, Forbes reports that Apple could be indeed increasing the pixels. Apple will find some way to tweak the camera slightly by relying on their new acquisition, LinX Computational Imaging. The company is known for “depth-sensing sensor that allows affords them faster exposure times in normal light and better-quality images in low light.”
More details are going to be known once the product has finished going through the manufacturing process. It’s great to hear that some of these new features are going to be included in the next line of iPhones. However, much can change in the time before September. We can only hope that Apple will provide more definitive details before September.
