Lenovo Announces First Project Tango Phone, To Launch This Summer

Plenty of great announcements have come during this year’s edition of CES, with many successful companies revealing their new projects and details on devices that will be released during the course of the year. Lenovo was also present during the CES 2015 and has announced a bunch of very interesting projects, including the first Google Project Tango Phone.

The Google Project Tango is a very interesting project which aims to give mobile devices the ability to navigate the physical world like regular persons do, adding advanced computer vision, image process and special vision sensors to Android powered devices.

Project Tango technology gives a mobile device the ability to navigate the physical world similar to how we do as humans. Project Tango brings a new kind of spatial perception to the Android device platform by adding advanced computer vision, image processing, and special vision sensors.

Not much is currently known about the recently announced Lenovo Project Tango phone. The company revealed that it will be released sometime this Summer and that it will be available for less than $500. Lenovo has yet to finalize all details on this new phone, including the final design: the company has shown a few different possible designs for the device but nothing is set in stone right now.

The Google Project Tango is still a relatively new project so it will be interesting to see how Lenovo will use the technology behind it in its new phone. It will also be interesting to learn if other manufacturers will be making Project Tango phones in the future.
