Although there won’t be a major Apple event today, the company has a lot of stuff to announce this morning. Along with the new Mac Mini, two new MacBook Pros with upgraded M2 CPUs have just been released.
The M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs are now available for the 14- and 16-inch models of the company’s premium laptops. The new Pros are the first and, as of yet, only system to receive the M2 Max chip; the new Mini offers an M2 Pro option in addition to the M2 by default. If you can recall back that far, the business claims that the top line machine is “up to 6x faster” than the previous generation of Intel processors.
In a press statement, Greg Joswiak claims that the MacBook Pro with Apple silicon “has been a game changer, permitting pros to push the limits of their workflows while on the road and do things they never imagined possible on a laptop.” “The MacBook Pro becomes better today. There is nothing else like it with its improved connectivity, faster performance, longest battery life ever in a Mac, and best laptop display.
Both variants are currently up for pre-order and are scheduled to begin shipping exactly one week from today, on January 24.
