Huawei and LG Building Google’s Smartphone?

It is unclear about the relationship that Google has with Huawei and LG. However, as more and more rumors are coming out concerning Google’s Nexus smartphone, fingers are pointing at Huawei and LG for working on two different versions. But coming out of these rumors is Huawei’s next smartphone, the Mate 8, something that the Nexus may be based off of and LG announcing their own Nexus phone.

According to the International Business Times website, the specs of the Huawei Mate 8 are numerous. The smartphone will have a 6-inch screen that will be able to support Quad HD resolution. The phone is powered by a Kirin 930 processor that contains an octa-core processor. There will also be 3 to 4 gigabytes of RAM. The mate will have two different variants such as 32 gigabytes and 64 gigabytes of storage. There is an option for more storage coming from an extendable source. The rear of the phone will have a 20.7 megapixel camera and with a 8 megapixel camera in the front. Apparently, the Mate 8 will have a fingerprint sensor and the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. If Huawei Nexus resembles some of this, then Google will have a good phone on their hands.

Now,the website Tab Tec reported that the surface of these rumors are interesting. They said, “To begin with, if all of this comes true then 2015 will go down in the history books as the first year in which Google launched two Nexus smartphones instead of just one. Furthermore LG would be known as the first manufacturer ever to create more than two Nexus smartphones for Google, and last but not least these events would also represent Huawei’s debut in the Nexus program.” Nothing is known about what LG will do for it’s Nexus variant.

If the rumors are true, it would be interesting to see why Google has two different companies working under it’s belt to produce a smartphone. What are your thoughts on these rumors?
