Huawei just launched its latest tablet, the 10-inch MediaPad M2, which is the perfect device for young families, according to the manufacturer. The Shenzen, China-based company launched the 8-inch MediaPad in May 2015, and now they revealed the bigger brother of the device. The 10-inch tablet was created to compete with the most popular Android tablets, and for those who wish for great sound quality in their gadget, it might be the winner. The other features of the tablet aren’t bad either, but the sound it delivers is definitely its best one.
The MediaPad 2 10.0 features a 10-inch LCD display with 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and 224 ppi pixel density, so the images it delivers will be all right, but it can’t really be compared to an AMOLED display with the same resolution. The design of the device is simple and elegant, especially thanks to its silver or gold color options. It is quite slim, being only 7.4mm thick, and it weighs 500g, so it is easy to carry around. Even though the tablet has a nice design, its appearance isn’t its strongest point. Huawei opted for improving the sound quality of the tablet instead of going for the looks, and it may have delivered a device that will win the hearts of many customers.
The tablet is equipped with four speakers, two of them being placed on the top edge of the device and two on the lower edge. Two speakers were created for treble and two for bass, so the result will definitely be impressive. Thanks to the harman/kardon audio technology featured by the device sound will be richer and clearer, so users will get a more immersive acoustic experience. For those who love their music, it could be the perfect device.
The MediaPad M2 10.0 is powered by a Hisilicon Kirin 930, octa-core processor and Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. The tablet comes in four different versions. There is a 2GB RAM+ 16GB internal storage WiFi version, a 2GB RAM+ 16GB ROM LTE version, a 3GB+64GB WiFi model, and a 3GB+64GB LTE model with M-Pen. Storage can be extended by up to 128GB thanks to the microSD card slot the tablet has to offer. The latest Huawei tablet comes with an M-Pen, a stylus with a 2048-level pressure sensitivity, so taking notes will be extremely easy and comfortable. However, the stylus can’t be attached to the tablet, so users will need to be really careful not to lose it.
The device also features a 13MP back snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling, so users will be able to capture their most important moments with the device. The MediaPad runs on Android Lollipop which means that all the games, music and apps found in the Google Play Store can be easily downloaded to the device. The tablet also impresses in the battery section. It is equipped with a 6660mAh battery, which is larger than the batteries found in some of the high-end devices that were recently released. The price of the MediaPad M2 10.0 starts from $349 for the 2GB+16GB WiFi version and goes up to $469 for the 3GB+64GB LTE with M-Pen model. It will be released sometime in the first quarter of this year, so if you would like to have the tablet with the best sound quality on the market, you don’t have to wait too much longer to have it.
