Portal’s Mac software focuses with lifelike backgrounds and sounds

Productivity app Portal’s Mac app launched. With vivid backgrounds and natural sounds, the company helps customers focus and work better.

The PC and iOS apps share goals. The company reported over a million app downloads. The native Mac program, compatible with Apple silicon, targets professionals who work from home and the office.

Portal for Mac features over 80 environments, including high-quality looping films from the company. The startup recorded some of the world’s most beautiful and calm scenes with 12K cameras.

Turn motion off or loop desktop videos. You receive a more classic still background image. To focus on the landscape, disable desktop icons.

Natural background sounds are spatial audio-compatible. Portal also integrates with Philips Hue and Nanoleaf smart lighting to match your environment.

The menu bar icon controls sound, animation, and backdrop. Portal, a native Mac program, connects with Siri Shortcuts.

Portal’s Mac App Store app has a seven-day trial. Users then pay $9.99/month or $49.99/year. Lifetime licenses cost $249.99.
