PewDiePie, a pseudonym for Swedish YouTuber Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, is no longer the most well-liked creator on the site.
PewDiePie, who is best known for his YouTube videos in which he reviews and plays video games, became the first person to reach 100 million subscribers on the platform in 2019. That same year, his videos received more than 4 billion views. Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, has recently supplanted PewDiePie as the YouTuber with the most subscribers.
YouTuber MrBeast is well-known for his pricey stunts (he once recreated a real-life Squid Game, which cost about $2 million to produce and had a $1.5 million prize pool) and charitable videos. MrBeast celebrated reaching 100 million subscribers three months ago by gifting the 100 millionth subscriber an island.
PewDiePie’s respectable 111 million subscribers were surpassed by Mr. Beast’s 112 million on Wednesday. However, the top individual creator on the platform is the YouTuber, not the most popular channel. T-Series, an Indian music label, is the most watched channel overall. Sony Entertainment India comes in third, followed by Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes in second.
The fourth and fifth most popular YouTube channels overall are Mr. Beast and PewDiePie.
