Education, according to Tim Cook, is the great equalizer

The sixth annual FIRST Inspire Gala celebrated STEM education, featured remarks from Apple CEO Tim Cook, and raised money to further the nonprofit’s goals.
At the FIRST event on November 15, Tim Cook served as the special guest, and there, he was interviewed by a number of tech social media personalities. Cook spoke to the audience to explain why it was crucial to support FIRST.

When creativity and technology come together, Cook said, “FIRST offers a space where they connect and shows exactly how powerful that combination is.” “You carry out that action for the kids seated in this room as well as countless more all around the world. And because we all understand how crucial this effort is, we are all present here tonight.”

Dean Kamen, the founder of FIRST, will.i.am, Zem Joaquin, and Mark Hodosh served as the event’s chairs. There were also a number of robotics competition teams from the area present.

Popular tech YouTuber Brian Tong spoke with Tim Cook on the occasion and the value of education. Additionally, Cook discussed Steve Jobs and referred to education as “the great equalizer.”

Apple participates in a variety of organizations, charities, and non-profits with a focus on education. To ensure that teachers are able to properly utilize technology in the classroom, it even hosts workshops for educators.

Since 2015, Apple has helped FIRST in its efforts to expand STEM education globally.
