Huawei Mate 9 Leaked Images Show Six Colours

Huawei is expected to launch its upcoming Mate 9 only in November, but there already are leaked images of the device on the web. The latest updates regarding the smartphone come from Playfuldroid, whose tweet revealed that there will be three versions of the Mate 9 coming our way soon. According to a comment made to the same post, it is even possible that Huawei will launch its new handset before the end of October.

Huawei’s Mate 9 will definitely be an appealing handset with a simple, yet elegant design, and if the information coming from the aforementioned source proves to be correct, it will be available in six different colours. However, not every version of the smartphone will be available in all of the colour variants. The 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage version of the handset will only be available in three colours, silver, gold, and dark grey, while the 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage version will be available in five different colours. Only the most expensive version of the smartphone, which offers 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage will come in all six colours.  What seems to be certain is that all versions of the smartphone will have a fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the back of the handset.

It was previously rumoured that the upcoming Mate 9  will be powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 960 chip, but this is still uncertain given the fact that this particular chipset wasn’t officially announced yet. The handset will most likely run on Huawei’s new EMUI 5, which is based on google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat software. The leaked information also suggests that the device will be equipped with lenses that have f/2.0 aperture. Unfortunately, there is no information available regarding the battery of the smartphone or other features that would seem important to most of the users.

As far as pricing goes, according to rumours, the Huawei Mate 9 will set customers back at least 3,199 Chinese yuan ($480). That is if they opt for the version with the least internal storage. The mid-tier version will probably cost 3,899 yuan ($580), while the price of the 6GB+256GB version could go as high as $700, or 4700 yuan. The highest price is also the only one that will get you the black variant of the smartphone.
