Information concerning the two new Nexus devices, the LG- made Nexus 5X and the Huawei- manufactured Nexus 6P have surfaced a long time ago and more and more data has been leaked in the last few weeks. The Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P are scheduled to be announced 29 September, and everyone is eagerly waiting to see which leaked information were accurate and which were wrong. Three days ahead of the unveiling unknown sources leaked an official Google presentation which contains a lot of details about the Nexus 6P.
If the leaked presentation is accurate, it seems that the Nexus 6P will have an all- metal body, a sleek design and a large, 5.7- inch display. It is also mentioned in the leaked presentation that the new Nexus 6P’s screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 4, making it pretty hard to break. According to the document, the Nexus 6P will come in four different colors, Aluminium, Graphite, Frost and Gold and it will also be available in three variants: a 32 GB, a 64 GB and a 128 GB.
The leaked Nexus 6P presentation also gives us a look at the fingerprint sensor found on the back of the phone, just under the Nexus Camera which is said to allow in more light in order for users to get higher quality pictures. The Nexus 6P, running on Android Marshmallow is shown to have a smarter, more efficient battery, helped by features like Doze and App Standby to save energy and prolong the battery life. Speaking of the battery, the leaked slides show that the new Nexus 6P will be equipped with a 3.450 mAh battery, which means it should have a quite long battery life.
The presentation also gives out information regarding a new feature of the Nexus 6P, the Google Now on Tap, which, according to the leaked documents will help users “stay on task by instantly pulling up relevant information”. Some of the key features of the Nexus 6P listed in the presentation consist in the freedom of users to choose what data to share with their apps, alongside fingerprint verification support, and the new stand-by system of the battery. We are pretty confident that these features aren’t the only ones Huawei’s Nexus 6P is going to deliver.
We only have to wait a few more days to see how the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X flagship models will actually be.
