OnePlus X- Release Date, Specs and Price

OnePlus launched its new device, the OnePlus X only a few months after the release of its flagship device, the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus X is extremely good looking and will be available for only $249. That is, if you are lucky enough to get an invite. The OnePlus X is not a flagship device, it is equipped with hardware that was latest technology last year, but it still is a great smartphone. A mid- danger, but with a high- end feel and look to it. As OnePlus representatives stated, the X family will the one to deliver affordable, but not as powerful devices, while the models marked by numbers will be the company’s flagship devices.

The OnePlus X comes in two versions. The first and more general version has a glass back panel, while the other one features a ceramic back. The latter will be available in the US and there will be only 10000 handsets of this kind made. The OnePlus X will first become available in Europe starting November 5. Its price will be €269, or £199 in the UK. In the US the OnePlus X will be released on November 19 and it will cost $249. The Ceramic model will hit European and Indian stores  on November 24 and it will cost €369, or £269 in the UK.

The design of the OnePlus X is quite impressive. Its elegant design with glass front and back panels certainly makes the OnePlus X feel premium. Of course, the chosen materials not only make the OnePlus X feel premium quality, it also gives users the feeling that it can easily slip and break. But that is the cost of having a beautiful smartphone. The OnePlus X is rather thin, measuring only 6.9 mm in depth. It is also light- weight with its 138 grams (4.86 ounces). The OnePlus X has a 5- inch display with full HD resolution and 441 ppi pixel density. This time around OnePlus opted for an AMOLED display instead of the LCD display featured by the first two devices they delivered. The screen is sharp and bright, so users will surely enjoy the OnePlus X.

The OnePlus X, as we already stated is not as powerful as the OnePlus 2 released this year. The OnePlus X is powered by a quad- core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. It includes 3GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage. What is different from previous OnePlus devices is that the OnePlus X also offers the possibility to extend storage due to its microSD card that support up to 128 GB external storage. The OnePlus X is not as fast as the OnePlus 2, but it will surely be able to complete regular tasks. The OnePlus X runs on Oxygen OS 5.1 based on Android 5.1.

The OnePlus X features a 13 MP back camera and an 8 MP secondary camera. The primary camera has a f/2.2 aperture and is able to record 1080p videos. The pictures taken with the camera of OnePlus X are sharp and deliver accurate colors. The camera’s interface is user- friendly, only displaying a few options that allow you to edit your pictures. The OnePlus X comes with a non- removable 2,525mAh battery that should ensure a pretty decent battery life when normally used.

All in all, the OnePlus X is a good looking device with enough power to be perfect for day- to- day use. Its pricing is great for the value of the OnePlus X. This is why OnePlus expects it to sell better than its previous devices. Would you like to purchase a OnePlus X?
